Introducing a new environmentally responsible and customer friendly loose fill material. It's the greenest way to fill the empty space in a box and is also a great packaging material.
PaperNuts® are welcomed by the vast majority of people who open packages and hate the mess and static cling of polystyrene. PaperNuts® contain low dust, expand rather than settle during shipment, and minimize product migration. Unlike green starch loose fills, PaperNuts® are not nutritional to rodents and do not become "gummy" when exposed to heat and/or humidity. Papernuts® are safe and legal for transport anywhere in the world including on board ships.
PaperNuts® are made from 100% recycled materials-old corrugated cartons (post consumer) and paper processing production waste (post industrial). When we pack them we compress 4 cubic feet in a 3.6 cubic foot box. When you open the box you can agitate them and they will expand to their original size. This allows us to get more in a box and on a truck thereby aiding in conserving corrugated material and truck fuel costs.Papernuts are biodegradable, non-toxic and inert, reusable, easily recyclable in existing waste streams, and compostable. PaperNuts® contain no CFCs or HCFCs (Cloroflurocarbons and Hydro-Cloroflurocarbons). An environmental statement is printed on them.
PaperNuts® are used to fill the empty space in boxes so products remain free from damage in shipment. They are tough enough to meet all cushioning needs. They provide Reliable shock and vibration protection. A PaperNut is static-free, it will not cling-No ESD (electrostatic discharge) problems. PaperNuts® are compression packed in a corrugated box. Each piece is appx 1¼” x 3¼”. and weigh about 1.2 lbs. per ft3 on average. The product interlocks, has superior resistance to compression, is a good void fill, and protects products from shock and vibration better than most other loose fill materials. Tests consistently show that packers use less 30% or less PaperNuts material than they use of polystyrene to fill the same size voids in their boxes.
